The Market Girl, Oil painting of Hispanic Culture.
by Clina Polloni, 18”x 24”.
In the Hispanic culture it is a tradition to go to the market, where the local people bring their fresh fruits, vegetables and craft. This girl is proud to show her flowers and vegetables with her colorful hand netted ponchos in the back.
I did this painting when I went to Ecuador. Inspired by their colorful art and culture, very similar to most of the countries in South America. People live in the cosmopolitan cities surrounded by malls and a variety of today’s modern stores. But the beautiful thing is that they preserve their culture in the market.
Join us for the Fem & Florals exhibition to explore the beauty, strength, and resilience of the female spirit. Celebrate International Women’s Day with us! Each piece tells a story, inviting viewers to reflect on the intersection of strength and delicacy, nature and identity.
