How to Paint a Sunset in the Ocean

Sunset in the Ocean.

Painting Class Taught by Clina Polloni. Lear how.

Seascape-Sunset in the Ocean

Seascape-Sunset in the Ocean

This sunset in the ocean was painted in a beautiful coastal beach of North Carolina. A good peace for the painting classes. Learn sunset clouds, sand and waves wreaking in the rocks.

Instructions:

  1. Start by drawing the seascape.
  2. Give a washed of acrylic gold to the canvas. Acrylics are very good for under-painting, they create a worm color that once you put the oils or acrylics in the top, they look brighter.
  3. Next paint with oils or acrylics in the following order: sky, ocean, sand and finally the rocks.
  4. Sign your work of art.

Supply:

Acrylics: There are many brands of acrylic paintings that I have tested but the one that I like the most is: SOHO, Urban Artistic Acrylic: Excellent paintings, sold at more reasonable price by Jerry’s Arterama. 3060 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. (919) 876-6610.

Oil Paintings: You can buy them at Michael’s, ACMoore, but again the most affordable ones are at Jerry’s Arterama and their brand is LUKAS.
