Learn to paint a seascape of a colorful sunset of yellows and oranges reflected in the blues of the ocean.
This painting was created for the painting classes, is a simple and charming painting for a person that is starting to paint and wants to learn about the sun reflected on the water waves.
Emerald Isle is part of North Carolina’s Crystal Coast. Located in the southernmost part of the Outer Banks, an amazing 200-mile stretch of barrier islands.
Supply:
Canvas: 11″x 14”
Black ultra fine point Sharpie.
Easel (a simple table metal easel is fine).
Paper towel.
For Acrylics: Plastic/paper plate and glass.
For Oils: Refined Linseed Oil with Turpernoi. To clean the brushes Turpernoi. Glass container to mix media.
Pencil and eraser
Brushes: Fine #0 brush, #2, #8 flat brushes and #2 round bristle brush.

- Cadmium Yellow Medium
- Cadmium Orange
- Cadmium Red Medium
- Yellow Ochre
- Alizarin Crimson
- Cerulean Blue
- Ultramarine Blue

- Deep Brown or Burnt Umber
- Paynes Gray or Indigo Gray
