Dog Oil Portraits

Dog Pet Portrait in Oils by Clina Polloni

Pet Portrait of Tinley by Clina Polloni.

Commissioned realistic and original paintings.

The essence of painting a dog portrait is the expression of the eyes.

Eyes that express love for their family, always content and always ready to wag their tails. When I start a realistic painting of your dog, I talk to their owners, I like to know all about their personalities, their life among the family and what makes them happy.

Let me paint a portrait of your dog in lively and colorful oil paintings. All I require from you is a good photograph of your dog. Call Clina at 919-841-3132 or send me an email at clinapolloni@gmail.com

Tinley Portrait

11”x 14” oil painting by Clina Polloni

From photo to drawing and finally painting.

When Candace commissioned me to paint Tinley, there was so much love in her description of him. She gave me this photo with his beautiful expressive eyes. Painting him was a challenge but also, I felt in my brush strokes the gentle spirit of Tinley.

Looking at the photo of Candace with Tinley, you can see that one of his ears was missing and body in the photo. I had to draw it doing research from other photos. First, I worked really hard in the drawing to have the perfect proportions before I could paint.

Araucana Hen Pet Portrait.

Oil on canvas by Clina Polloni.

This is my pet chicken; she runs happy in the yard with her feathers flying in the wind. The Araucana is a breed of domestic chicken from Chile. Its name derives from the Araucanía region of Chile where it is believed to have originated. It lays blue-shelled eggs, one of very few breeds that do so.
