The Southern Magnolia tree is an ancient species, one of about 210 magnolia species from around the world. The Southern Magnolia has been introduced to Southeast Asia, other parts of North America, Central America, the West Indies, and some areas of South America. They can grow up to 90’ high and are sturdy, lovely trees valued in the Southeast. Kathy has one that towers over her two story home where the sweet scent of the magnolia blossom is much appreciated in the summer.
