Gourds, How to paint in North Carolina
These gourds are from the beautiful garden that my husband Thom plants every year at the “Marigold Plantation”. He plants the gourds, harvest and clean them for me to paint. Contact Us.
The gourds in America have been used throughout history, starting with the native Indians and the colonial people. They were important domestic tools, including bottle gourds, musical instruments, birdhouses to attract purple martins, which provided bug control for agriculture and many more. Today we continue planting the gourds in North Carolina, and they are a basic source of artistic inspiration.
