David Scott Chadderton Lazo was born in Venice, Florida on September 4th, 1983. His mother is Matty Lazo-Chadderton, another member of our Arts By Us group. David grew up in La Romana, Dominican Republic, where his parents were art collectors and owned an international art gallery called “Equis Art Gallery.” As a result, David and his younger brother, Andrew, grew up surrounded by Dominican art and international art. David has been painting and pottering since he was in pre-school at “Learning Together” and then in the public schools in Wake County. His artwork was selected for an exhibition at Cary Town Center.
He continues to enjoy painting and never misses his art class at “Arts By Us”. David hobbies are painting, cooking, listening to Latin cultural music and playing soccer. He has also worked as a DJ and in his spare time enjoys playing with cats and dogs. David studied culinary art with Inter-Faith Food Shuttle in Raleigh, NC, and is currently working as an assistant-chef with that organization. David, who lives in Cary with his mother Matty, is very proud of his Peruvian roots.
